While it’s always been a sought after destination for my personal travels, Cabo has seen a tremendous expansion within the luxury market in the past 3 years allowing my clientele to experience this destination with a variety of high end options.
I took the opportunity to set up site inspections at 11 properties during my short 3 night trip and all left me very excited about what I can offer my clients.
I had the pleasure of staying at the new Le Blanc Los Cabos for the first 2 nights. Less than a year from opening this chic all-inclusive is an excellent fit for honeymooners. The added value of a resort credit, sometimes as high as $1500 can be used for anything from a romantic dinner on the beach to dolphin swims off site. And the credit can carry over to your next stay if the entire amount isn’t utilized.
Montage Los Cabos was also at the top of my list. This hotel sits on the Santa Maria Bay and yields calm waters that are absolutely perfect for families traveling with small children. Their gift shop includes a variety of authentic Mexican items constructed and built by the local community. Much of what they sell tells a story and I couldn’t resist buying an Alebrije, which I collect on each of my trips to Mexico. These are tiny hand carved and hand painted crafts that are believed to be guardians and healers that look over you as you sleep. As does the Rosewood Mayakoba, the Montage Los Cabos also places an Alebrije on your pillow each night of your stay as part of their turndown service. Each animal tells a unique story and how symbolic they are within the Mayan culture. I have quite a collection now, and I cherish each one!
My last night I checked into the Viceroy Los Cabos. This trendy spot was an experience in itself. All the rooms are extra large, wired for smart technology and many include jacuzzi’s on the balcony (I loved mine!) Although the vibe of the hotel felt youthful they did have an impressive kids club with activities for even the littlest travelers.
