Lake Malawi

Lake Malawi is called the calendar lake, since it is 365 miles long and 52 miles wide. It is about 12km from the coast of Mozambique. Found in its dazzling waters is the friendly island of Likoma, where the most famous attraction is St. Peter’s Cathedral in Mbamba Town. It is over 100 years old and larger than Winchester.

Sunshine bathes the clear lake waters as you snorkel or wakeboard or just take a refreshing dip in the tranquil lake. Baobabs abound and mango trees blossom as you ride by on a quad bike. Activities abound, but you can be lazy, too and have a late breakfast of fresh mango that has just fallen from the tree. No hustle and bustle; just endless the beauty of nature.
