A recent blog by my coworker, David Russell, discussed the new survey from Hotels.com that states complimentary breakfast is the most important hotel amenity that guests want. A hotel restaurant and free wi-fi ranked as the second and third most important amenities, respectively.
As a proud member of the Virtuoso network of luxury travel agencies, we understand how important this is to our clients and we are pleased to offer them a complimentary breakfast for two at all Virtuoso properties. Additional complimentary Virtuoso amenities include a room upgrade upon arrival, if available, and a special hotel-specific amenity like a spa credit, restaurant credit, airport transfer, etc.
One of the best amenities that we are able to offer our clients is our making personal contact with the hotel sales management staff of our upcoming guests’ arrival. This facilitates several things: if the client is arriving early, most likely a room can be made available to them upon arrival; a personal greeting from the management
staff so that our clients have a contact name in case they have any special needs or requests; and given the early contact with the hotel, we might be able to guarantee
that special upgraded room.
These amenities and offers do not cost our clients anything, and are not generally available to them if they book online or directly with the hotel.
