Countdown to a Cruise

One of the greatest things about going on vacation is the anticipation and excitement of going on vacation! I know that I channel some of that energy into preparing and learning more about the destination and what options are available to me.

I’m leaving on a cruise soon, and it’s been a few years since my husband and I have taken one, so I’m plunging into the online pre-registration. I’ll be sailing on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas – one of the largest cruise ships on the ocean! For this sailing, I want to treat the ship as the destination rather than where we will be sailing. Why would I want to do that? I’m taking advantage of special offers and packages, in addition to saving my precious time. I’ve pre-paid for a drink package, which was a big savings, and I have made reservations for the specialty restaurants to avoid disappointment. In addition, the Oasis of the Seas has many onboard activities like the flow rider and zip line that require ‘waivers’ to be signed. I just signed my waivers online.

 Once my husband and I arrive and get ready to board the ship, we will board quicker because I pre-registered and prepared ahead of time. I can now sit back and enjoy my cruise knowing that I have already planned certain activities and prepared required documents.
