With the recent Costa Concordia tragedy, cruising has been in the news quite a bit lately – and not in a good way. One of our Andavo Travel advisors appeared on the CW’s Daily Dish talk show to discuss cruise safety and what you can do to be safe and have fun on your next cruise.
Also know that in the wake of the Costa Concordia disaster, many of the cruise lines (Carnival, Regent Seven Seas and Oceania to name a few) are taking this opportunity to audit their safety procedures and see if there is anything they need to update/fix.
If you’re ready to hop on a ship, put your faith in Disney – they are finishing up the final touches on their newest vessel, the Disney Fantasy. The sneak peek photos look pretty amazing!
I also just heard that a few of the cruise lines are updating their boarding procedures so your check-in can be much faster, and you can get settled in your room and on the ship in no time. Crystal Cruises is calling it their “Crystal Fast-Track Check-In“, and Seabourn now has an e-pass option. That sounds good to me – I’m all about getting to my vacation sooner!
