I recently attended a Virtuoso regional meeting in Seattle, WA where members of Virtuoso’s network of luxury travel advisors came together at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. We met with travel suppliers and learned all about the latest trends in luxury travel.
I actually used to live in Seattle – its where I met and fell in love with my husband – but hadn’t been back for six years, so it was so fun and nostalgic to be back on my old turf. I flew in a few hours before the conference started so I could spend some time wandering downtown Seattle and shopping. If you haven’t been to Pike Place Market, make it a priority! I love eating my way through that incredible market, enjoying all the colors and people-watching along the way.
I really enjoyed my room at the Fairmont Olympic. I think its a great option if you’re looking for a place to stay in Seattle. It is not the newest hotel, but is very historic, well-kept and beautiful. A good word to describe the Fairmont is “grand.”
