San Diego is one of those destinations that offers something for everyone.  You can be as active or as laid back as your heart desires.  My family and I recently spent three days in San Diego, which really is too short, but we got in all that we planned to: activities, relaxation and sight seeing.

We stayed at the Hyatt Mission Bay.  It is a beautiful location, right on the water, but our main factor in selecting this hotel was the three water slides.  Our girls had so much fun, while my husband and I were able to sit back and relax at the pool.

Of course, no trip to San Diego is complete without  a visit to Sea World.  Many of you may know this, but it was news to me:  you can get a 7 day pass for the same price as a 1 day!  We spent the bulk of one day there, getting in all that we could.  But then we had the flexibility of coming back and just spending a couple hours revisiting the parts we loved most.  It really took the pressure off of getting it all in.

Our last morning at the hotel, while eating breakfast on the pier, we got to see a wild sea lion.  He was right there on the pier, basking in the morning sun.  What a sight to see.  He even posed for a picture!
