I recently attended a conference in Chicago. I’d never been to Chicago before, and it wasn’t really on my radar to go… but what I found was a beautiful city with a lot to offer just about any traveler.
It’s a great walking city. After my conference I had time to go out and explore. Just a couple blocks from the hotel is Lake Shore Drive. I took a wonderful walk along Lake Michigan. It was a sunny day and not too windy, so getting out and walking was quite a treat.
The Four Seasons itself is beautifully appointed and has an amazing staff. I had dinner in their new restaurant, Allium. They serve farm-to-table modern American cuisine. We started with their Cheese Lavosh, and were taken away by the “hanging” presentation. There is no other way to describe how they bring it to the table. This flatbread is literally hanging from a hook. It’s a piece of art right in front of you.
So even if Chicago is not on your radar of vacation spots, give it (and the Four Seasons) a try! If you book your Four Seasons Chicago stay through an Andavo Travel advisor, we can offer you the following Virtuoso amenities:
