Hotel Review: Le Taha’a Island Resort and Spa in French Polynesia

December 30, 2012 | By

I just got back from traveling to French Polynesia for my fourth time. I visited Papeete on the island of Tahiti, Rangiroa, Tahaa, Bora Bora and Moorea. I had been to all of these islands before except for Tahaa – the Vanilla Island.

To get there you fly into Raiatea and take a boat ride for 20 minutes to get to Le Taha’a Island Resort and Spa, a Relais Chateaux property. Designed in Polynesian style, Le Taha’a is situated on a beautiful islet, famous for its lush vanilla plantations and its black pearl farms. The lagoon has crystal-clear waters and there is an exceptional coral garden where we were able to snorkel. The island is very close to Bora Bora so Mount Otemanu is easily seen from the island. The overwater bungalows beds face the water so when you wake up in the morning the beautiful blue ocean is your breathtaking view. The food at the restaurant and poolside was delicious, and served by a very helpful and friendly staff.

This is a great hotel to just relax and enjoy your surroundings. I loved it!

For Andavo clients who would like to experience Le Taha’a, when you book through us we can offer you the Virtuoso exclusive amenities below:
