A Message from our CEO

As we face the ever-changing landscape of the travel industry, I want to personally reiterate our commitment to our clients. Our company’s core values—We Value People. We Create Value—are the guiding principles we will rely on as we all navigate the evolving COVID-19 situation. Please know that we are here to support you and your travelers as your consultative partner. We hope you will lean on us, our 67 years of experience, our expertise in making reservation changes and securing refunds, and our risk management tools. If there is anything more we can do to help you through this time, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Sincerely, Mike Cameron

Latest Developments

We are closely monitoring the situation and are working hard to provide you with the most up-to-date information to help guide you through travel choices best suited for you and your family.  We are a part of a global community and have relationships with partners around the world, constantly providing us updates.  At times such as this, the value of a travel advisor is more important than ever.  We are here to provide you with real-time information and facts so you can feel confident in your travel decision.  Please find helpful tools, resources, and knowledge to help the best support your travel.

Be Prepared and Informed

Below are some resources and links to help you stay up to date on the current situation, and to help keep your clients informed.

The following are alerts and guidelines outline by the CDC for information for travelers:

CDC provides guidelines for travel during the COVID-19 pandemic.

CDC has provided a page with travel recommendations by the destination that can be found here.

CDC recommends that travelers avoid all nonessential travel without restrictions on entry to the U.S. – Global Pandemic Notice.

CDC recommends the use of Face Cloth Coverings and guidelines.

In addition to the above information, the CDC has created a page called COVIDView that provides a weekly summary and interpretation of key indicators being adapted to track the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.

Travel Updates

While some travel insurance policies may only partially cover trip cancellations and adjustments to the Coronavirus outbreak, it is important to work with a travel advisor to get the most up-to-date information.

Get Creative

As travel advisors, it is our job to help you make informed decisions.  Even when those decisions are difficult, we are always here to turn a challenge into an opportunity.

Here’s an example of how Andavo Travel Affiliate Kay Fahlberg, made some suggestions to one of her clients.

“It is difficult to cancel a trip that you put so much heart into it. My client decided to cancel their trip to Japan. They have no regrets with their choice, but it was a sad one, nonetheless. One of the highlights of their journey was a tea ceremony experience in a Japanese garden. Though it’s not the same, I suggested bringing Japan to home instead of going there. I have authentic tools handed down by my family, and I’m certified to offer the experience at home to their friends. With my assistance, as a Japanese travel expert, knowledge, and experience, this would provide them a preview of their experience and something to look forward to when they are ready to pack up and go.”
