This past weekend I was invited for an overnight stay at a luxury boutique hotel called Farmhouse Inn. It is located in the heart of the Sonoma wine country in California. One and a half hours from San Francisco, and 30 minutes from Napa.
The warm welcome at the front desk when we arrived was great, and pointed us to the free goodies: spa products (like avocado soap and honey scrub), and make-it-yourself s’mores.
Farmhouse Inn provided a relaxing getaway for me. We stayed for only one night and I had to peel myself away from this beautiful place when it was time to go home. The Deluxe King room was spacious and romantic, with a double-sided wood-burning fireplace that you can enjoy from your bedroom and the roomy outdoor deck. The icing on the cake was the amazing bathroom with a jetted tub overlooking the beautiful landscape.
The Michelin starred chef at Farmhouse’s restaurant graciously accommodated my food allergy and I was able to devour mouthwatering culinary meals. The three course breakfast and dinner showcased such exquisite artistry and delightful use of fresh, local ingredients. The attention to detail – from the architecture, the food, and the amazing staff – made my stay a memorable experience.
It’s proximity to the best wineries in California make the Farmhouse Inn a great destination every day of the week!
This is a FIVE star experience!
