Luxury Hotel Review: Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire

I just got back from a stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire in England. This is the most amazing hotel, a lovely country manor with all the amenities that you expect from Four Seasons! It is a perfect place to begin or end your trip to Great Britain or a weekend retreat from bustling London, as the property is only 35 minutes from Heathrow, 40 minutes from Southampton, or an hour from London.

The Four Seasons sent their driver in his Tesla to Heathrow to meet my early morning arrival and whisked me away to the hotel to begin an over-the-top stay in this country retreat! I was warmly greeted by Susie, Senior Sales Manager, and Oliver, the resident black lab, and taken directly to my enormous suite with beautiful views over the gardens. Breakfast was waiting in my room along with the very best coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice — just what this tired traveler needed!

There are many activities to consider but for me, nothing would do after a long flight but a treatment in the award-winning spa. It is located in the 18th century stable block, a beautiful building with so many treatment options to consider. I had a facial and wish I lived closer so I could have this amazing treatment on a regular basis. Take time for lunch in the Spa Café, it is easy to do between appointments. Or take a swim in the indoor pool, where coming in your spa robe is the norm!

Did I mention that this is a family-friendly resort? There is a long list of family activities to choose from and the staff is welcoming to all ages. Oliver is particularly happy to welcome the young ones and let them know that this fantastic place is not all about the adults!

History buff? This is the very place that Henry VIII at the age of 8 met his future queen, Katherine of Aragon, in the late 1400s, so a royal welcome has been in place here for hundreds of years!

Four Seasons will not disappoint and the Hampshire even exceeded my expectations. It is an iconic building set amount rolling, lush green fields, the rooms are large and beautifully decorated, brilliant food and impeccable service. I’ll certainly be back as soon as possible!
