Luxury Hotel Review: Gateway Canyons Resort, Colorado

I recently returned from Gateway, Colorado where I stayed at the Gateway Canyons Resort for three nights. You fly into Grand Junction and then it is about an hour to drive to the resort through the canyon, enjoying beautiful scenery along the way. This resort is like an island unto itself. Once you get there, the activities are plentiful. I was able to ride horses, take an ATV ride, fly in a helicopter to see the awesome landscape, and ride on a dirt track with a professional driver.

The door to my casita

There are only 72 rooms and with all the space, even when the property is sold out you feel like you have the place all to yourself. If you are into cars, there is a car museum filled with beautiful vintage cars. You can also have the opportunity to rent a high end car for the day to drive through the canyon and experience the thrill of driving a Bentley for the first time. There are five restaurants onsite and I found the prices very reasonable for this kind of resort.

For those of you that like the outdoors and want to stay active, but also have a beautiful room to come back to, this is the place! I highly recommend this resort.
