Luxury Hotel Review: Marival Residences, Puerto Vallarta

I was able to go to Puerto Vallarta in April and spend four nights at the Marival Residences Luxury Resort. This beautiful property is only 30 minutes from the airport located in Nuevo Vallarta. It is a fairly new resort — only five years old.

My one bedroom oceanfront room on the 5th floor was over 1400 sq ft with a kitchen, living room, bedroom and two bathrooms. We had stairs that took us up a level to a private plunge pool area just for only us to use. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, and the décor is modern but tasteful. I have to say the bed was a bit hard for me – but that seems to be the case at most hotels in Mexico.

Marival Residences is not on the beach. You can walk to the sister property, the Marival Suites, in about 10 minutes. Or you can hop on a golf cart by the bellmen 24 hours a day to be shuttled to the beach club entrance. Then, walk completely through the Marival Suites property to the beach until you see the umbrellas and cabanas only for Residence guests. Pick a spot and begin to be waited on hand and foot. We were able to do a couples massage in a private cabana on the beach and hear the sound of the ocean while we experienced our massage.

They don’t have any entertainment facilities onsite but the Marival Resort and Suites have evening activities if you want them. The rooms are some of the nicest I have ever stayed in. I really enjoyed my stay!!
