Luxury Hotel Review: Mukul Beach Golf and Spa Resort, Nicaragua

July 10, 2014 | By

If you want to try a new destination and enjoy luxury, why not visit Nicaragua and enjoy a stay at the five star Mukul Beach Golf and Spa Resort?

Everything is incredibly lush and luxurious. The beauty of the property and location can’t be properly relayed in photos. It is magical. The cliffs, the waves, the birds, the gentle shower just after lunch, and the pleasant, soft breeze all mesmerize your senses.

The 621 sq ft houses, called bohios, are incredible with comfortable beds you will wish you could take home with you. There is an ample walk-in closet, dual vanities and dual shower heads with a gigantic picture window staring out at the ocean. The patio is huge and the plunge pool is larger than most others on private decks. Bohios 1-12 have resort and golf course views with the possibility of some ocean viewing. Bohios 13-24 are full ocean views.

You will often feel you are the only guests, due to the layout of Mukul. It is intimate, boutique and luxurious — with more than a hint of romance in the air. The attentive staff is at your service. Their friendliness and eagerness to please let you know that any request will be met, if possible, from a private barbecue prepared on Guacalito Beach with a private butler, to paddle boards, to lunch boxes for a picnic or an early airport departure.

Breakfast and airport transfers are included in the tariff, but bring extra money for dining, since the only real option is Mukul itself. It is truly alone in its jungle/beach location.
Also, available (at no cost) are early morning bird-watching, morning yoga, bikes, hikes, a Saturday market, gym, rum and cigar tasting (reservations required) and the amazing scenery and solitude.

Try a unique destination: Nicaragua and Mukul.
