Luxury Hotel Review: One & Only Cape Town, South Africa

February 5, 2013 | By

OneOnlyCapeTownOn my recent trip to South Africa I was fortunate enough to stay at the One & Only Cape Town. The service from start to finish was over the top. Our room was gorgeous with a view of the island that houses the spa restaurant. There is a wonderful pool to enjoy there and from our balcony we watched many people heading that way.

We enjoyed an amazing breakfast at Reuben’s (one of the restaurants onsite) with service you wish you could always have. The second day when we came for breakfast, we were barely seated when we were not only called by our surnames, but also received the juice choices we had selected the day prior. When I ordered my omelet, they knew how I wanted it before I finished telling them. That is service! Remember, complimentary breakfast is a wonderful Virtuoso amenity at this property, and we were also given a free 50 minute massage each. One & Only truly knows the meaning of added value.

From our balcony we also had a view of Table Mountain, and we could easily walk a couple of short blocks to the waterfront area. There we found shopping, fine dining, attractions and even McDonald’s. There is an aquarium, a double-decker sightseeing bus and so much more to keep you busy while you are in the area. And then you can return to your very large room with all its amenities and a turned-down bed with chocolates. Sweet dreams on comfortable beds with heads resting on our choice of pillows made our stay so enjoyable.

Treat yourself to a few nights in Cape Town and enjoy the luxury and service offered by One & Only Cape Town.
