Last Saturday I visited Sundance Resort which is at the base of Mt. Timpanogos up Provo Canyon. Created by Robert Redford, it’s only an hour’s drive from Salt Lake City and features 95 rustically elegant mountain cottages and 10 mountain homes. Each of the units is unique with rough-hewn wood, warm tones and Native American accents with many of the suites having a stone fireplace and a deck or patio.
The property gives you a diverse mountain recreation experience year round on 6,000-acres. I was able to enjoy a delicious lunch in the Foundry Grill with Camille Singleton, the leisure sales manager at the resort. I toured the property visited the spa and took the 40 minute tram ride up the mountain.
This is a fabulous resort – I felt right at home! As a Virtuoso travel agency we can book this property for you and you will get: an upgrade on arrival (subject to availability), daily full American breakfast for two in-room guests (served at the restaurant), plus a three course dinner for 2 one evening in the Foundry Grill. These added amenities and with all the activities available make Sundance Resort the perfect getaway!
