Are you an art lover? The three major cities in the United States for artists are New York, San Francisco and Santa Fe. Santa Fe is an easy city to walk around and visit all the galleries and museums.
I spent last weekend there; we flew into Albuquerque and drove one hour to get to Santa Fe. I highly recommend the property we stayed at: the Inn and Spa at Loretto. Art lovers have access to a hideaway designed with their tastes in mind. The Inn and Spa at Loretto features 134 recently remodeled guestrooms decorated in elegant New Mexico style. The renowned “Artist Row” along Canyon Road is just a short stroll away. Beyond the art, one of the biggest draws is The Spa at Loretto, where acclaimed treatments incorporate New Mexico’s indigenous herbs and minerals. Another hit is Luminaria, the Inn’s highly regarded restaurant, where modern sophistication is influenced by Santa Fe’s past.
The Inn at Loretto has a great location and as a Virtuoso property, you can receive Virtuoso amenities if you book through a Virtuoso travel agency (like Andavo). The complimentary amenities are:
Taos, New Mexico is also nearby, only one hour from Santa Fe. The ancient pueblos are well worth touring and like Santa Fe, Taos has a main square to walk around and shop.
Santa Fe is an easy trip and a fun city for a weekend getaway.
