I just returned from Florida where I went to Universal’s Islands of Adventure and visited the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter. If you are a Potter fan the park doesn’t disappoint.
The magic begins when you first enter the village of Hogsmeade and see the train with the Hogwarts school up the hill. On the street they are selling Pumpkin Juice and “Butterbeer” that tasted like cream soda with whip cream on top. We ate at “The Three Broomsticks” and then visited the candy shop where you can buy chocolate frogs and Bertie Bott Every Flavor Beans. Ollivanders shop sells wands and you can buy a wand specially chosen for you.
There are 3 rides in the park. Two are roller coasters. The other ride in Hogwarts has you soaring with Harry and his friends above the castle grounds.
When buying merchandise you save 10% if you have a AAA card, which is helpful because souvenirs are pricey. We were able to see and do everything in the park in one day.
